As revealed earlier this month, Kylie is to cause a stir on the street when a surprise new storyline sees her tie the knot with twisted David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd).
Speaking to Digital Spy about the upcoming plotline, Lane commented: "The material I've got over the next year is brilliant. The scripts are just absolutely fantastic.
"Corrie is amazing at combining comedy with pure drama, and that's what I'm loving about this character. There's going to be so much incorporated into it, and her return is just fantastic!"
Kylie is currently off screen following her shock decision to sell her young son Max to half-sister Becky (Katherine Kelly). However, the new plotline is expected to see her return to the forefront of the show as she causes tension among the Platts.
Lane added: "I think it was the only way they could have brought me back, because I don't think they could have kept on with the whole Becky and Steve scenario - the viewers need something new. So it'll be really nice to explore this.
"And let me tell you, the scenes with Gail are going to be so funny. I've been reading the scripts and it's just pure class with the comedy - Kylie and Gail just clash! Then you've also got the mix of Audrey in there as well, so it's going to be brilliant and I can't wait."
Lane is in the running for the 'Best Newcomer' prize at this year's National Television Awards, which take place in London tonight. She is nominated in the category alongside EastEnders' Ricky Norwood, Emmerdale's Marc Silcock and Holby City's Olga Fedori.
