Tracy becomes distracted by dramas closer to home in next week's episodes after she discovers that her stepbrother Peter has been betrayed by his cheating partner Leanne.
However, in an interview with All About Soap, Ford hinted that it will not be long until Tracy's attentions return to her ultimate aim of winning Steve McDonald's love.
The actress explained: "Ultimately, Tracy wants to be with Steve. Everything she does is about her getting the family she wants with Steve and Amy.
"She will always strive for that - Becky should watch out!"
Tracy is also due to clash with Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) after landing a job at The Rovers in the coming days.
