McAlpine: 'John Stape is most loved villain'

The Coronation Street star, who plays murderer Stape's unsuspecting wife Fiz, said that Graeme Hawley should win an award for being the "most loved killer" ever to appear on television.
McAlpine told OK magazine: "I love him to bits. He is so funny. I think he's going to be the most loved killer of all time, which is a bit wrong really.
"I dread the storyline ending because Graeme will end up going, I guess. But mind you, he came back last time he got locked up - so I'm not buying him another leaving present if he does get banged up again."
McAlpine also said that she, Hawley and co-stars Sam Aston and Georgia May Foote have become a "little family".
