Deirdre to get flirty in new Corrie plot

Deirdre Barlow will start flirting with a pottery teacher in a new light-hearted Coronation Street storyline, a report has claimed.

According to the Daily Star, the comic plot begins next month when Deirdre's husband Ken (Bill Roache) signs them both up for evening pottery classes.

However, it is thought that events take a twist when the course's tutor Alex catches Deirdre's eye - leaving Ken feeling annoyed.

Sources say that Deirdre and Alex will recreate an iconic scene from 1990 movie Ghost, which saw Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze's characters sharing a steamy moment at a potter's wheel.

Speaking of Deirdre and Ken's new plot, a Weatherfield insider commented: "It's just a light-hearted storyline for the couple, but it's got everyone giggling backstage."

Meanwhile, the duo are currently starring in their own online spinoff show titled Ken and Deirdre's Bedtime Stories.
