Craig Gazey films 'Coronation Street' exit

Craig Gazey has filmed his final scenes for Coronation Street.

The actor, who has portrayed hapless Graeme Proctor since 2008, is leaving the Weatherfield-based soap as part of the conclusion of a sham marriage plot involving girlfriend Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) and her friend Xin Chiang (Elizabeth Tan).

Earlier today, the actor told his Twitter followers: "So... The day has come... My last day of filming on Les Cobbles! xxx (sic)"

After concluding his final scenes, Gazey added: "xxx BYE BYE WEATHERFIELD xxx"

The 29-year-old then retweeted a fan's tribute, which read: "Every1 get it trending! #GoodbyeGazey for @craigazey who finished filming as Graeme in Corrie today!!"

Gazey has admitted that he would love to return to Coronation Street in the future. Meanwhile, tabloid reports have suggested that Graeme will soon make a shock decision regarding Xin.
