John's confession keeps Corrie above 10m

John's horrific confession kept Coronation Street's dramatic week above the 10 million mark on Tuesday evening, the latest audience data has revealed.

ITV1's flagship soap was seen by 10.19m (41%) from 9pm and 358k (1.7%) on +1, as Fiz discovered the terrible truth that John killed Charlotte and Joy.

Due to the ratings muscle of Britain's Got Talent, EastEnders slumped to just 5.84m (26.7%) on BBC One from 7.30pm, down 2.5m week-on-week, as Masood joined forces with Phil to get even with Yusef. The repeat screening fetched 1.43m (6.7%) on BBC Three from 10pm.

BBC One's Holby City was also down 1.47m week-on-week to 3.74m (15.5%) for the episode 'Damage Control', featuring Dan facing up to a high-pressure situation as he tried to help a friend.

Emmerdale was watched by 6.89m (36.8%) on ITV1 from 7pm, as Paddy felt left out after he missed the birth of the baby.

Elsewhere, Hollyoaks appealed to 820k (4.6%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm, before E4's first look at the next episode mustered 364k (1.9%) from 7pm.

Earlier in the day, Doctors grabbed 1.44m (18.6%) on BBC One, beating Neighbours' 675k (8.7%) on Channel 5. The Aussie drama's repeat screening was watched by 1.06m (8.3%) from 5.30pm.

Home and Away fetched 799k (4.9%) from 6pm, before 5*'s first look at the next episode entertained 466k (2.6%) from 6.30pm.
