The actor filmed his Weatherfield exit last month and viewers will see his final two episodes next Monday.
In a new interview, Gazey has admitted that he would like to see how Graeme would cope with the death of wife Xin if he ever returned to the cobbles.
"If I could write Graeme's comeback story, I'd maybe want him to end up widowed and return to the cobbles on his rickshaw with a child in tow," Gazey told the latest edition of Inside Soap, out tomorrow.
"I'd love to see him deal with being a single father."
Gazey also admitted that he wants Graeme's other partner Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) to resist the pursuit of Tommy Duckworth and stay single following the window cleaner's departure.
He joked: "I reckon Tina should be a spinster for the rest of her life now. I get really jealous when I think about Tina getting together with someone else."
Earlier this year, Gazey said that leaving Coronation Street was an "immensely difficult" decision to make.
