Carla and Frank are expected to start making plans to marry in forthcoming episodes following their recent decision to mix business with pleasure by embarking on a relationship.
Upcoming Coronation Street scenes apparently see Frank (Andrew Lancel) make plans for the future by finding the new house. He then takes Carla (Alison King) in a taxi to see the property, declares that they can live in it together once they're married and presents her with a bottle of champagne to celebrate, The Sun reports.
The scenes are expected to air before a dark new storyline involving Carla and Frank begins in September. Tabloid reports suggest that Carla will be subjected to a physical and sexual assault by Frank when his true colours emerge.
A Weatherfield insider told the newspaper: "Carla thinks Frank is too good to be true. And she's right. He seems to be perfect but little does she know her hero is a dangerous sexual predator."
Frank tried to rape Maria Connor earlier this year, but she escaped his clutches and was later left devastated when the police decided not to pursue the matter.
