Published Wednesday, Sep 21 2011, 08:40 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly | Add comment
Coronation Street's Frank Foster is arrested in tonight's episode of the soap after Carla Connor reports him for raping her.
Following encouragement from Maria (Samia Smith), Carla calls in the police and begins to give an initial account of the assault. However, a scheming Frank soon returns to the flat with a bottle of wine - leaving Carla (Alison King) hysterical with anger and fear.
Frank (Andrew Lancel) is quickly taken away by the police, but he shows the full extent of his manipulative nature as he calmly protests his innocence and appears bewildered by Carla's allegations.
At the police station, Frank is put in a cell to await questioning, but when the interview begins, can he talk his way out of being held overnight?

Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm on ITV1.
