Le Vell was arrested at his home in Greater Manchester in late September after police received a report of a historical offence. He was later bailed until November 16.
The 46-year-old actor, who plays Kevin Webster, has strongly denied the allegations and his Coronation Street colleagues are thought to have rallied round him in recent weeks.
Speaking publicly about the matter for the first time, Flanagan - better known as Rosie Webster - told Hello: "I've grown up with him and give him my full support."
Earlier this month, Le Vell vowed to prove his innocence as he released a statement to "strenuously" deny the accusation.
Sally Dynevor, who plays the actor's screen ex-wife Sally, also recently voiced her support by saying: "Michael is strenuously denying the accusations and I am backing him 100%. I have known him for 25 years and am right behind him."
Le Vell returned to work at Coronation Street on October 20 after taking time off to prepare a "vigorous" legal defence.
