'Coronation Street' Katy, Chesney baby name revealed?

Coronation Street's teen couple Katy Armstrong and Chesney Brown will decide to name their baby boy Joseph, a report has claimed.

Cast and crew at the ITV1 soap have recently been filming scenes which see Katy (Georgia May Foote) give birth early at the Weatherfield Community Centre this Christmas.

While early reports yesterday suggested that Katy goes into labour at a festive party, it is now thought that the big moment occurs during a nativity play at the Centre.

Katy is at the community hall with Anna Windass and Fiz Stape when her waters break, The Mirror reports. Chesney (Sam Aston) then faces a race against time to be at the birth, as he is busy delivering Christmas trees - dressed as an elf.

Once Katy and Chesney have welcomed the arrival of their baby, they are apparently inspired by the nativity scene surrounding them and choose Joseph as a fitting name for the newborn.

A Coronation Street source told the newspaper: "Everybody knows Chesney and Katy's baby is due around the festive period, but to be actually born in a setting complete with hay and a manger is a beautiful little twist.

"You can bet there will be floods of tears up and down the country when their baby arrives. And what a fitting name."

Katy and Chesney made the decision to start a family together earlier this year.
