POTD: 'Coronation Street's Sophie and Sian decide to elope

Coronation Street's Sophie and Sian decide to flee Weatherfield to get married in tonight's double bill of the soap.

After being rejected by Amber (Nikki Patel), Sophie focuses all of her attention on her future with Sian - telling her that she wants to get married now rather than waiting until they're 18.

When the girls ask Sally (Sally Dynevor) for her permission once again, they're left disappointed as she stands firm - declaring that a wedding is out of the question as they're too young.

Sophie (Brooke Vincent) and Sian (Sacha Parkinson) soon resort to desperate measures as they pack their bags for Gretna Green, where they can marry without parental permission. When Sally discovers the plan and races off to stop them, can she convince the pair to come home?


Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.
