The actress is reprising her role as Bet Lynch for Street of Dreams, a live musical event which explores the most memorable moments from Coronation Street's 51-year history.
As announced earlier this week, Street of Dreams has been penned by Trisha Ward and is based on her album Coronation Street - Rogues, Angels, Heroes & Fools, which was released last year.
Goodyear told Loose Women today: "Trisha Ward, an award-winning lyricist, has been writing this live musical event for three years. Would you believe she's been writing this for three years? Last Christmas the album came out and that was to tremendous applause. It is based a lot on that.
"Needless to say, there is no way that ITV would give the thumbs-up if this was not only five star, but ten-star."
She continued: "Trisha has gone into the psyche - over these three years - of every character in Coronation Street. It will be covering five decades. We've got West End dancers, West End singing vocalists, a huge live orchestra. It is a rollercoaster evening, honestly.
"It's taken everybody by surprise. The tickets went on sale this morning - get 'em, they're going like hot cakes."
Street of Dreams will be hosted by Paul O'Grady and also stars Kevin Kennedy (Curly Watts), Brian Capron (Richard Hillman), Bill Roache (Ken Barlow) and Katy Cavanagh (Julie Carp). The show will make its debut at Manchester's M.E.N. Arena on Wednesday, March 21.
