Corrie's Brooke Vincent: 'I cried at Sophie's wedding'

Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent has confessed that she cried real tears while filming Sophie and Sian's wedding.

The actress was upset because co-star and best friend Sacha Parkinson was leaving permanently, making it easier to act out their characters' dramatic Christmas wedding scenes.

It was announced in May that Parkinson would be leaving the ITV1 soap and fans threw her a leaving party outside the show's Manchester set on her last day.

"All I could think about was how much I'd miss Sacha," Vincent told Inside Soap. "She's like my right arm! Now she's not on set, I'm like, 'Where is she? What is she doing?'

"I don't want us to lose touch - but Sacha's filled up my schedule till Christmas with a load of things, so there's not much chance of that!"

Parkinson has also admitted that her exit scenes were easier to film because the pair were genuinely sad.
