'Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan films final scenes

Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has filmed her final scenes for the soap.

The actress, who announced that she was leaving her role as Rosie Webster in October, revealed on Twitter that she completed work on Friday.

"Last day at Coronation Street," she said. "Bye Rosie. I love you. My new life begins today."

Flanagan also thanked co-stars including Brooke Vincent (Sophie Webster), Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw) and Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) for their support and well wishes.

She told Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor): "Thankyou for looking after me you've been amazing. Love you loads xxx (sic)."

Flanagan has said that she hopes to have "total freedom" after her Coronation Street exit, following a "tough" 12 years on the show.
