'Coronation Street' star Kate Ford rules out reality TV

Coronation Street star Kate Ford has admitted that she would never appear on a reality TV show.

The actress, who plays schemer Tracy Barlow, joked that she would be too much of a "diva" if she ever joined the jungle for I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

Ford's Coronation Street co-star Antony Cotton took part in the ITV1 show late last year, finishing in fourth place.

However, Ford told PA: "I'm the last person that would do anything like that. I just don't like doing anything as myself.

"The public might have a preconception that I would be like Tracy myself, but also I'm quite high maintenance at times.

"I might have a massive diva strop and storm off, and I wouldn't be able to sleep because I have to have the environment completely right in order to get to sleep. I'd just be exhausted, ratty, horrible and a diva!"

Ford's current Coronation Street storyline sees Tracy preparing to marry Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) after lying that his ex Becky (Katherine Kelly) was responsible for her miscarriage.
