Kerry Katona: 'I'd be at home on Coronation Street'

Kerry Katona has revealed that she is still eager for a role on Coronation Street.

The reality TV star explained that she dreams of playing a new barmaid for the soap's iconic Rovers Return pub.

Katona has hired a new agent as she sees acting as the future of her career, according to The Sun.

Speaking of her Coronation Street ambition, Katona told the newspaper: "Imagine it, leopard print jacket, cigarette in me gob, 'All right love, lager and lime?' I'd be right at home."

She continued: "People don't realise how much acting I've done. I was in a comedy drama Showbands which was only shown in Ireland and obviously there's the Iceland adverts."

The 31-year-old added that Shameless is also on her list of dream shows.

"I'd be great in Shameless," she said. "I can see myself in my pants with a can of beer going, 'all right, love?'"

Katona has previously suggested that she could play a new "psycho" character on Coronation Street.
