POTD: 'Coronation Street' Frank Foster verdict reached

Published Friday, Feb 3 2012, 08:28 GMT | By Daniel Kilkelly | 17 comments
Coronation Street airs the conclusion of Frank Foster's rape trial tonight as the evil businessman discovers whether he's facing a long stretch behind bars.

Frank (Andrew Lancel) and his loved ones are convinced that things are looking good after Carla and Peter's affair was exposed in court, but the twisted factory boss can't relax yet as it's his turn to give evidence.

Questioned by both the prosecution and the defence, Frank paints himself as the victim in the situation - breaking down as he falsely claims that Carla (Alison King) has made his life hell by lying.

Soon afterwards, the jury members are sent out for their deliberations. Will they return with a guilty or not guilty verdict?

The judge tells the jury that they can only convict Frank if they are sure of Carla's evidence
