The actor is thought to have already filmed his final scenes as villain Frank Foster, who has a dramatic exit storyline in March.
Lancel toured the UK with his An Audience With Andrew Lancel shows last year and is now looking forward to more dates across the country.
"I'm really looking forward to getting back to singing," he told The Sun. "I've done it on and off for years. I'm going back on the road and will get back into acting later in the year."
Discussing the public's reaction to Frank, he continued: "Corrie is watched by so many people, you have fans coming up to you in the supermarket, saying, 'Hi Frank'. I had that a bit in The Bill but nothing like it is in Corrie."
Coronation Street chiefs have confirmed that Frank's twisted behaviour will continue in the coming weeks as he tries to make ex-fiancée Carla Connor (Alison King) pay for dragging him through the courts.
However, the businessman later gets his comeuppance as his lifeless body will be found at the factory - sparking a 'whodunit' mystery on the cobbles.
Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.
