'Coronation Street' tops Monday with Katy plot

Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Monday evening (February 20) as Katy's parenting struggles were revealed, overnight figures show.

Coronation Street pulled in 9.07m (38.8%) at 7.30pm and 145k (0.6%) on ITV1+1 as desperate Katy left baby Joseph with Faye. The second episode of the double bill, which saw Katy flee the cobbles after being confronted by Owen, took 9.09m (36.0%) at 8.30pm and 258k (1.0%) on timeshift.

EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 8.4m (34.0%) at 8pm as Derek made plans to teach Roxy a lesson. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 707k (3.6%) at 10pm.

Emmerdale interested 7.66m (34.6%) at 7pm as Declan upset the grieving Barton family, while Hollyoaks appealed to 1.23m (5.8%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 592k (2.7%) at 7pm on E4 for the first look airing.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 828k (10.4%) at 1.45pm and 1.04m (6.1%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 870k (4.4%) at 6pm and 533k (2.5%) for 5*'s first look screening at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'The Well Spoken Man' - was seen by 1.7m (21.7%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
