Producers of postponed Coronation Street musical Street of Dreams have apologised to ticket holders.

Planned tour dates in Dublin, Belfast and Newcastle later this month have been pushed back in order to creatively improve the show's script.

The statement read: "Following the world premiere in Manchester of Street of Dreams, the new musical event celebrating Coronation Street that received standing ovations last week, Reckless Entertainment, the show's producers, are now keen to revisit the production and further develop ideas for the UK tour.

"As a result the existing dates have been re-arranged. New tour dates for Dublin, Belfast and Newcastle will be announced very soon. The producers would like to apologise to those who have already bought a ticket for the original tour dates and ask that they contact the venue directly."

Paul O'Grady narrates the stage show which stars Corrie cast members Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) as Elsie Tanner and Katy Cavanagh (Julie Carp), as well as ex-star Julie Goodyear as Rovers Return landlady Bet Lynch.

Street of Dreams' planned tour dates were The O2 Dublin (May 18 and May 19), Belfast's Odyssey Arena (May 21 and May 22) and Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena (May 29 and May 30). There has been no indication as to when these dates will be rescheduled. Get the Inside Soap magazine on your iPhone or iPad
