'Coronation Street' tops Monday with Eva's revenge

Coronation Street topped the soap ratings on Monday evening (May 21) with Eva Price's misguided revenge attempt, overnight figures show.

Coronation Street pulled in 8.05m (38.7%) at 7.30pm and 175k (0.8%) on +1 as Eva sabotaged Nick's big event at the Bistro, while 8.16m (35.0%) watched at 8.30pm and 310k (1.4%) on timeshift as the blonde's wrong suspicions led to chaos on the cobbles.

EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 7.16m (32.3%) at 8pm as Ian ploughed ahead with plans to marry Mandy and leave Walford. BBC Three's repeat screening had 613k (3.2%) at 10pm.

Emmerdale interested 6.22m (33.5%) at 7pm with Declan's latest visit to Robbie, adding 116k (0.5%) on +1.

Hollyoaks managed 821k (4.9%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 183k (0.9%) on timeshift as the McQueens were arrested, while Bart's subsequent panic brought 503k (2.7%) to E4's first look at 7pm and 107k (0.5%) to E4+1.

Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 619k (9.7%) at 1.45pm and 1.02m (8.0%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away mustered 779k (5.1%) at 6pm and 506k (3.0%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'Carry on Cruising' - was seen by 1.36m (21.4%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
