'Coronation Street' starting to settle in Wednesday night slot

Coronation Street scored its best ratings of 2012 in its Wednesday 7.30pm slot last week (July 11).

Peter's return to alcoholism was seen by 7.75m (38.6%), adding 313k (1.5%) on +1.

Emmerdale pulled in 6.28m (33.5%) at 7pm (+1: 222k/1.1%), while Hollyoaks had 967k (5.6%) and 517k (2.8%) for E4's first look.

Neighbours claimed an impressive 707k (10.4%) and 904k (6.8%) for its respective lunchtime and teatime airings, while Home and Away mustered 679k (4.3%) and 479k (2.8%) for 5*'s first look.

Doctors logged 1.25m (18.6%) for BBC One at 1.45pm.
