Kirsty (Natalie Gumede) is shocked to hear that Alison (Dawn Hope) has finally found the courage to leave her abusive husband Ed, having moved into a refuge a few days ago.
Although Kirsty is pleased with her mother's decision, she feels increasingly anxious about having her in the house - fearing that a raging Ed could turn up at any moment.
Tyrone, meanwhile, has a completely different attitude towards the situation - believing that they should invite Alison to live with them.
The Weatherfield mechanic reckons that Alison could prove to be a calming influence in their household, but how will Kirsty feel about his big idea?
