'Coronation Street': Fiz, Tyrone plot seen by 8.7m on Monday

Coronation Street was Monday evening's (December 17) most-watched soap as Tyrone cheated on Kirsty with Fiz, overnight figures show.

The Weatherfield drama pulled in 8.49 million (35.7%) at 7.30pm on ITV1 and 195,000 (0.8%) on +1 as Tyrone shared a passionate kiss with Fiz on his 30th birthday. 8.69m (34.5%) returned at 8.30pm and 316k (1.3%) on +1 to see the pair try to avoid being caught out by unstable Kirsty.

EastEnders, meanwhile, attracted 7.64m (31.5%) at 8pm on BBC One as Alfie was presented with yet another reason not to trust Kat. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 497k (3.3%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale interested 7.15m (32.6%) at 7pm on ITV1 as Rachel tried to ban Jai from seeing Archie, adding 147k (0.6%) an hour later.

Hollyoaks managed 1.04m (4.9%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 100k (0.4%) on +1 as Doug and Ste had their leaving party, while E4's first look had 614k (2.8%) at 7pm and 111k (0.5%) on +1.

Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors was seen by 1.32m (19.1%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
