Corrie actor's ban extended by four weeks
Coronation Street actor Bruce Jones has been banned from the soap for a further four weeks.

Jones, who plays Les Battersby, was originally banned for six weeks after reports emerged that he insulted his colleagues behind their backs.

A spokesman for the show has confirmed that the ban has been extended while bosses continue their investigations into the matter.

The 54-year-old is said to have been severely under the influence when he branded his co-stars "w****rs" to pals in a restaurant, although he denies the incident even occurred.

"If I offended anyone I certainly didn't mean to," he said. "In my heart of hearts I believe I will be back at work soon"
