"This job is amazing, but I think I can be quite versatile and I'd like to try other roles in the future," Lane told Soaplife.

"Corrie can open so many other doors if you play your cards right, but I'm very happy to stay here for another few years at least."

Everyone is left shocked by Kylie's behaviour.

Lane added that she is pleased that Kylie and David have worked through their problems after the turbulent time they faced last year.

"I'm glad Kylie and David are back together as they do really love each other," she explained. "We all work so closely together that we do become like a real-life family."

Coronation Street next airs tonight (Friday February 28) at 7.30pm on ITV.
