The 23-year-old actress was due to return to Weatherfield this autumn as Candice Stowe for best friend Sarah Platt's (Tina O'Brien) wedding to Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas).
However, on ITV1's Loose Women today, the actress denied her return, saying: "I'm not returning - no, not this time."
A Corrie spokesman confirmed to DS: "The timings of filming didn't work out."
It remains to be seen whether the character will make a return at a later date.
