Corrie star to get disciplinary?

Coronation Street actor Steven Arnold has been given a warning about the future of his job at the soap after going missing from work following an alcohol-fuelled party the previous night.

The actor, who plays Ashley Peacock in the programme, failed to turn up at the studios in Manchester on Friday where he was due to shoot four scenes but he only got in contact with show bosses on Sunday afternoon despite them calling him constantly.

Now Coronation Street chiefs are threatening disciplinary action for his failure to turn up.

A source told The Sun: "He had a family party the night before. Everyone’s fuming. He likes a drink but this is unacceptable."

A spokesperson for the show, meanwhile, said: "There was considerable disruption to the filming schedule. Steven will be be disciplined if he has no reasonable explanation for not turning up."

They added: "We couldn’t raise him all Friday and Saturday. He will have to explain himself."
