Stalker returns to Corrie studios
A known celebrity stalker has been spotted at Coronation Street studios, forcing bosses to increase security in the area.

Kevin Sedgewick was ordered to not go near former Corrie star Tracey Shaw seven years ago and has also been warned away from actresses Jennifer James, who played Geena Gregory, and Jacqueline Pirie who had the role of Linda Sykes in the soap.

Sedgewick was warned under the Protection from Harassment Act not to go near the cast and magistrates banned him from the Manchester TV studio for five years.

However, Sedgewick has been sighted near the studios over the past week, prompting staff at the soap to call in extra security measures.

A source told The Sun: "There were several reported sightings last week but the other night there was a definite sighting and we said, 'That's him!'

"We told our security team immediately and they're going to keep an eye on it. The area is heavily protected by CCTV but we can't afford to take any chances.

"This was a real problem and some of the girls were genuinely worried. He overstepped the mark."

A Corrie spokesman commented: "We have been made aware of Sedgewick's return and we will be monitoring the situation."
