Flanagan finds plot reaction "strange"

Flanagan's alter-ego Rosie Webster has undergone a major transformation this year and recently seduced her teacher, John Stape, in a shock storyline.
Helen has noticed that her experiences with some of the soap's fans have changed since the plot stared airing, but she is pleased that viewers are finding her performances believable.
"It's weird being thought of like that. But I guess it means I am doing well, because that side is all Rosie. She is the confident one who is using her sexuality to gain power over men," Flanagan told the Daily Star.
"I'm nothing like Rosie in real life so it has been a challenge for me - and it is all very strange. I was in the gym the other day and this guy winked and I was like: 'Oh my God, I can't believe you just did that!'"
