Sir Derek Jacobi wants Corrie role

Sir Derek Jacobi has revealed that he would love to get a part on Coronation Street and has enlisted the help of cast member Bradley Walsh to help him make it happen.
The thespian met Walsh, who plays factory boss Danny Baldwin in the soap, while they were filming upcoming ITV1 drama The Old Curiosity Shop.
Sir Derek is hoping he can work with Walsh again on the soap when he returns to film his final scenes.
Jacobi said: "The plan is that when he returns he’s picked up by an old chum from the East End – where I’m from. I’d love to play that old rogue."
A Coronation Street insider said: "We are aware that Sir Derek is a fan and would love to get him on board."
