The actor, who plays Liam Connor in the ITV1 soap, is aiming to raise money for CAFOD, the international aid agency which works to reduce poverty in developing countries.
"The CAFOD fun run has become as much a part of my Christmas tradition as turkey and stuffing, and I wouldn't miss it for anything," Rob explained.
Fans are welcome to show their support for Rob by turning up for the event, which takes place in Wavertree Park in Liverpool on December 27.
He added: "It was lots of fun limbering up with the crowds before the run last year. I hope this year even more people will join in and do something worthwhile for a great cause."
