Corrie couple are confident about future

Tina O'Brien has insisted that her relationship with Coronation Street co-star Ryan Thomas will not suffer as a result of her departure from the soap.

Fans of the show will see Tina's character Sarah Platt say goodbye to the Street and her husband Jason Grimshaw, played by Ryan, in tomorrow night's episode.

Although Tina's exit has caused her to see less of Ryan, she has claimed that the time apart strengthens their partnership.

"Not seeing each other so much will mean that when we do get together, it'll be much more special," Tina told the Daily Star. "When we haven't seen each other for a while, I look at Ryan and think: 'Oh wow, you're gorgeous!'

"I always think that, but when I haven't seen him for a while it really hits home how lovely he is."

Asked about the possibility of marriage, Tina joked: "We have done it twice on the show, so why do it for real? We're just far too young to be getting married. We are very happy with how things are between us and I think it's a case of don't mess with something that's fantastic already."
