Corrie actress breaks down on ghost show

Coronation Street star Kym Ryder broke down in tears while filming a TV ghost hunt show.

The actress, who plays Michelle Connor in the ITV1 soap, was investigating paranormal activity with a group of fellow cast members when she became convinced that she had seen a spirit.

Ryder was joined by her co-stars Jack P. Shepherd (David Platt), Katherine Kelly (Becky Granger), Tupele Dorgu (Kelly Crabtree) and Wendi Peters (Cilla Battersby-Brown) on the show.

It is believed that Street legend Vera Duckworth's death scenes were still fresh in Kym's memory when she visited the Isle of Man for the ITV2 programme.

"Kym got very emotional during some of the filming," a source told the Daily Star Sunday. "She said she saw a ghost and that really shook her up. It was quite intense. She ended up breaking down on more than one occasion.

"The filming of the Vera death scenes was in everyone's memory and I don't think she could get it out of her head."

Ghost Hunting With Coronation Street will air on ITV2 in March.
