Corrie star feels "sexy" thanks to soap

Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan has revealed that her role on the show has helped her to feel "sexy".

The actress joined the ITV1 soap as David Platt's girlfriend Tina McIntyre at the end of last year, and she was first seen on screen in January.

Next week, a high-profile story for Michelle's character will begin - with Tina discovering that she is pregnant with David's child.

"I've never felt that sexy before but because Tina is a really sexy character I feel more confident with it now," Michelle told The Sun. "It's quite liberating."

Keegan has admitted that she would even be willing to go nude for an acting role in the future.

"Obviously I'm not going to need to do that in Coronation Street but in the future, why not?" she said. "It's not real, it's just acting, and it would be my job to do it."
