The actress, 73, who plays Blanche Hunt, was injured at the Marriott Manchester Victoria & Albert Hotel, reports the Daily Star.
She injured her shoulder and knee in the accident and was taken to the local Accident and Emergency. The soap star is a regular resident at the hotel when she is filming scenes at the nearby Granada studios.
Jones is expected to return to filming on the ITV series in two weeks. A show spokesperson said: "The cast and crew of Coronation Street wish her a speedy recovery and hope to see her soon. She is loved by everyone."
