Shepherd: 'I want David to be evil again'
Published Tuesday, Jun 3 2008, 09:13 BST | By Beth Hilton

The actor said he hopes David Platt, who has turned over a new leaf since leaving prison, will be back to his old tricks before too long.
He said: "I definitely want David to be evil again. I love playing that side of him. The badder he is, the better it is for me! New scripts are ready at the moment but I don't know what's in them. I really hope he goes back to his old tricks."
However, he revealed that David is determined to make a fresh start since his release from jail, saying: "He is a lot calmer than before as well. He wants to continue in hairdressing and make a stab at carving out a career for himself."
Shepherd won the prize for best villain for the role at this year's British Soap Awards.
