Alison King's supposed wedding dress strop

There's an article in one of today's tabloids claiming that Coronation Street's Alison King had a 'diva strop' over her screen wedding dress.
Alison - who plays temptress Carla Connor in the ITV soap - apparently "refused to wear a designer wedding dress" because it "didn't make her feel fabulous".
Corrie bosses did, indeed, ask Manchester dressmaker Vicky Martin to design Carla's wedding frock. However, producers decided to switch the dress for another, purely for storyline reasons. The alternative dress appears in scenes which air on October 10 and see Liam (Rob James-Collier) ravage Carla after she's had it fitted.
And what of the original Vicky Martin dress? It will make an appearance towards the end of the year. Why? I'll leave that for you to work out...
