Pictures: Liz and Lloyd's affair exposed
Published Thursday, Jan 1 2009, 12:10 GMT | By Kris Green | 5 comments
It's been all-go on the picture front for the past couple of weeks and we haven't left the picture specials at the back end of 2008, either.
Earlier today, we had a photo from tonight's episode of EastEnders, and now I present to you an in-pictures look at the moment Lloyd (Craig Charles) and Liz's (Bev Callard) affair is rumbled by Steve (Simon Gregson) in Coronation Street.
As Steve turns to his best mate Lloyd for advice about his situation with Michelle (Kym Marsh) and Becky (Kat Kelly), Steve thinks he smells a rat when he catches a whiff of an overly-familiar perfume. As Steve continues to guess the identity of his business partner's new woman, he's gobsmacked when he finds Liz's keys on the kitchen work surface.
Beckoning Liz from behind the sofa, Steve confronts his mother and best mate over their 'sordid' behaviour, resulting in Steve pushing his own love woes to the back of his mind.
I have to say that the performance by all three in these scenes is superb. Bev Callard doesn't even need to say anything - her reactions say it all as she grimaces at Simon Gregson and Craig Charles's hilarious exchange. There are quite a few near-to-the-mark lines during the episodes, too.

These scenes air on Monday, January 5 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.

Beverley Callard is a cross between pantomime dame and drag act. Why did they bring her back?

The Liz and Lloyd affair is almost as unbelievable as having Liz as a member of a keep fit club ...she is w--a--y past her 'sell by date' in so many ways ...and for the show to constantly promote her as some kind of 'sex symbol' is stretching the imagination of viewers too far. 'Pantomime Dame' would be a far more credible option for Liz.

Lloyd is being a bit of a hypocrite giving Steve advice about his doomed relationship with Michelle when all the time he's having an affair with his own mother. When will liz stop acting like a whore?.

This is a really silly storyline considering Lloyd used to go out with Kelly and that girl Danielle what does he see in Liz?

I personally love the Liz/Lloyd relationship and thought how nice it was for Lloyd to prefer a more mature woman! I hope it continues!
