Poll: Should Ken be with Deirdre or Martha?
Published Saturday, Apr 18 2009, 12:59 BST | By Kris Green | 5 comments
Cast your minds back to last week. I posed the question: 'Are you happy that Clare Devine's returning to Hollyoaks?'
Again, thousands of you cast your vote and just over half (54.2%) can't wait for Gemma Bissix to walk back into the village as the Chester superbitch. The remaining votes were split, with 23.5% choosing 'not sure' and 22.3% claiming that it'll ruin the character's superb exit.
Not long to wait anyway. Those all-important Warren and Justin exit episodes transmit during the final week of May.
I'm still unsure about Clare's comeback. No doubt when I see it, I'll be pleased. It's just the thought of ruining an award-winning exit! Mind you, what's the betting that Max's death bags 'Best Exit' at this year's British Soap Awards?
OK, so let's increase this blog entry's average character age a little. This week's Corrie-related poll asks: 'Should Ken be with Deirdre or Martha?'

Our Kenneth (William Roache) has been caught between the devil and the deep blue sea since the end of January after meeting intellectual actress Martha Fraser (Stephanie Beacham) beside the canal.
Having kept Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) a secret from the barge owner, Ken finally came clean about his marriage to a stunned Martha at the beginning of the month. Fuming at his betrayal, she threw him off her barge.
Over the next couple of weeks, Ken's unable to keep his feelings for the 'other woman' in check and soon resolves to leave Deirdre for a new life with Martha on Britain's waterways. That's after he sleeps with her, of course...
But who do you think Ken should be with? Let me know by casting your vote below!
