Tony to confess all in Corrie?
Published Thursday, Aug 20 2009, 19:00 BST | By Kris Green | 9 comments

Reports in today's Daily Star suggest that Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) will confess to having Liam Connor (Rob-James Collier) killed.
The shock revelation apparently comes after Tony suffers a health scare and in an attempt to clear his conscience, the knicker factory boss confides in unassuming café owner Roy Cropper (David Neilson).
The script is said to read: "You're a good man, Roy Cropper. So I need to make a confession to you. I killed him, Roy‚ I killed Liam, I killed Liam!"
Earlier this year, Corrie boss Kim Crowther teased that Tony's 'undoing' would stem from 'none of the players you'd expect'.
I think Roy's classified as 'unexpected', no?

I don't agree that Tony killed Liam in cold blood, his distress over Liam's affair with Carla drove him into deepest despair. He certainly is not a cold blood killer he has shown only sorrow and remorse over his actions. However, Liam and Carla were prepared to leave their partners and in Liam's case his wife, having just lost her first baby was pregnant with there second child. The marvellous Gray O'Brien has developed Tony Gordon into a wonderfully sympathatic and likable character I have returned to viewing Coronation Street because of his performance and of course the delight Sam Smith as Maria. Such a stunningly good looking couple, they are marvellous together, please, please don't let Gray leave.

I think it's a plan, Roy was one of the first people Tony knocked heads with when he first pitched up in Weatherfield (remember the bats?)

Don't like corrie. EE is it for me. But I have been watching this summer as had the time on my hands and have to say Tony does it for me. I think he is one of the best actors on the show. He is 100% natural and none of his scenes look contrived. I just hope they don't axe him soon as he is breathing life back into Corrie for me.

When the truth comes out Tony will be sure to be the most hated man in Weatherfield.

This would be so great - I hope it's soon! I'm surprised Carla doesn't turn him in when she comes back though. I wonder if Roy or Tony will tell the police? And I wonder how Maria will find out - I wonder what her reaction will be!

As if. Tony would NEVER come right out and say it, he doesn't even KNOW Roy!

This storyline as been dragged out far to long, and as usual there will be a bad ending. script writers to day are rubbish, they are constrained by the length of the actors contract.
