Location: Jimmy turns on Tony in Corrie
Published Friday, Sep 11 2009, 10:39 BST | By Kris Green | 4 comments
Coronation Street's Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) gets a taste of his own medicine next month when his henchman Jimmy Dockerson (Robert Beck) turns on him.
With Tony's wife Carla (Alison King) back on the scene, she issues Tony with a stark warning and fretting that her threat's serious, the knicker factory boss puts in a call to his right-hand man.
Meeting Jimmy outside baby Liam's Christening, Tony insists that he wants Carla dead and needs him to do the dastardly deed.
Jimmy, however, turns on Tony and punches him, before pushing him to the ground and iterating: "She's your wife, you kill her!"

It's about time Tony paid for what he's done and gets punished by his henchman - on behalf of Liam! Maybe that gut punch and the harsh words will dissuade him from being a smug, arrogant, scheming man next time. Or maybe not.

I don't like this. Why would Tony want the woman he adored so much, that he killed someone for, murdered? I think it's completely out of character for him to want her hurt. As he said, "It was all for her". Why kill her?
