Coronation Street's new Nick Tilsley walked on to the set for the first time yesterday and his recast seems to have sparked mixed views.
The apparent age gap aside - Ben, 37, is actually playing a character who's 28 - I think it's a great casting. I was always a fan of his during his Footballers' Wives days - until I've seen him on screen, though, I'll reserve full judgement.

The casting aside, these juicy location pictures just landed in my inbox from Corrie's night shoot yesterday evening. So does Nick or Tina make the first move? Is it as innocent as it looks? And what will David (Jack P Shepherd) and Jason (Ryan Thomas) say if/when they find out?

I find it unrealistic for shows to recast. If we notice the appearance difference why wont the characters? :S

I think they should have cast a younger character, but I can't wait to see what happens in this relationship, wonder whether Tina's split with Jason? I don't think she's the cheating type so maybe so.

I always thought he looked like pop with those sticky out ears. As for passing for someone who is 28. . . maybe from a distance, in the dark, on a foggy night with yr back turned with yr eyes closed - yeah, maybe then he looks 28.
