Corrie slap, 'Enders offer, E'dale jail threat, 'Oaks George secret

Coronation Street's Owen Armstrong loses his temper with Faye Butler later this month after she takes her rebellious behaviour too far.

The drama begins when Owen (Ian Puleston-Davies) finds creosote in his new pond and dead fish floating on the top - leaving him furious.

Owen initially suspects that David (Jack P Shepherd) and Kylie (Paula Lane) are responsible following his recent feud with the pair, but the real culprit is revealed when he ends up looking after Faye for the evening.

With Anna (Debbie Rush) away visiting her brother following the news that he's had an accident, Faye (Ellie-Louise Leach) does everything she can to wind up Owen. At first, he manages to remain calm with the troublesome youngster, but he's soon left stunned when he finds creosote on her jumper.

When Faye admits that she was responsible for killing the fish, an angry Owen decides that she needs discipline and slaps her on the back of the legs. How will Faye react? And how will Anna feel about his actions when she finds out?

While Faye is away, Anna does her best to wind Owen up. He tries not to be bothered until he discovers creosote on her jumper and confronts her about the fish

Over on EastEnders, Jane Beale will soon receive an unexpected job opportunity which could take her away from Walford.

Jane (Laurie Brett) throws a 'bangers and mash, give us your cash' fundraiser at The Vic later this month and does a live on-air interview with a local radio station to promote the event.

When Jane's interview is heard by her old haute cuisine tutor, he pays a visit to the pub to see the fundraiser for himself.

Later, the tutor reveals that he is so impressed by Jane's cooking that he wants to interview her for a job at his new restaurant. Will Jane put herself forward for the position?

Coming up on Emmerdale, Rodney's arrangement with Carl has unexpected consequences when the police come looking for him.

Rodney (Patrick Mower) recently agreed to take Carl's speeding points in return for a job at the haulage firm, but he's soon left fuming when the scheming businessman sacks him as soon as he's accepted the blame.

If that wasn't bad enough, things get worse for Rodney when the police arrive to question him about a serious accident. He later asks to speak to a solicitor when he's quizzed about hitting a cyclist - aware that Carl (Tom Lister) was the real culprit.

The net tightens when Rodney hears that it's an offence that carries a prison sentence. Furious, Rodney threatens to take Carl down with him if he gets sent to jail - but can he get out of this mess?

Meanwhile, life gets more complicated for Hollyoaks' George when his fellow sixth former Callum discovers his secret.

Fans of the soap recently saw that George (Steven Roberts) has been squatting as he is homeless - which Callum finds out when they begin spending more time together for a college presentation.

Although Callum (Laurie Duncan) agrees to keep George's secret, keeping quiet proves a struggle as he becomes increasingly concerned about his friend's living arrangements and health.

As the situation develops, George's squat-mate Phoebe (Mandip Gill) doesn't like Callum hanging about and interfering - so she warns George to keep a distance. However, when Callum insists on staying over, can George say no?

Over on Doctors, Zara goes against Daniel's wishes later this month as she heads off to a private clinic for a scan to discover the sex of their unborn child.

Zara (Elisabeth Dermot-Walsh) attends the appointment in secret, claiming that she's going to the dentist. When she arrives, Zara is delighted to discover that she's expecting a boy.

Daniel (Matthew Chambers) remains clueless over what Zara has done, but the truth comes out in a very public fashion when the couple attend a neighbour's party.

When Zara privately tells the neighbour that she knows she's having a boy, she's horrified as Daniel overhears. How will Daniel react to the news that she has gone behind his back?

EastEnders was the winner of our storyline poll last week as 42.7% of you chose Denise going head-to-head with Phil as the best plot.

Coronation Street took second place with 29.8% for Tyrone kicking Kirsty out, while Hollyoaks was third with 19.8% for Brendan terrorising the sixth formers.

Emmerdale was fourth with 6.3% for Debbie leaving Andy humiliated, while Doctors had 1.4% for Marina opening up to Heston.
