Coronation Street stars celebrated Bill Roache's 80th birthday as they made a live television appearance on This Morning today (April 25).

Chris Fountain, who plays Tommy Duckworth, presented Roache with a Coronation Street-themed 80th cake to help mark his special day.

Antony Cotton, Andrew Lancel, Chris Gascoyne, Jennie McAlpine, Alison King and Natalie Gumede were also present for the celebrations.

Coronation Street stars were appearing on This Morning as part of the magazine show's Soap Week, drumming up last-minute votes for the British Soap Awards.
