Coronation Street chiefs officially unveiled Baylis as Rob earlier this month. The 34-year-old has previously appeared in Law and Order: UK, The Bill, Misfits and Sirens.

As announced on May 17, show bosses are also bringing back the character of Ryan Connor, now played by Sol Heras.

Rob and Ryan will be shaking up life on the cobbles from July. Get the Inside Soap magazine on your iPhone or iPad
