Sue Johnston made her long-awaited entrance as Gloria Price in Coronation Street last night (September 5).

Stella's fiery mother waltzed onto the cobbles in style, her acid tongue offending Rita Sullivan as well as her own daughter.

Having left Spain on the run from ex Cliff's "business associates", Gloria has already set the cat amongst the pigeons by trying to rekindle Stella's romance with cheating Karl.

However, she's impressed other residents, including Rovers barman Sean Tully and new next-door neighbour Ken Barlow.

What do we know so far? Well, she's certainly got a lazy eye for the opposite sex, using the word "hunk" to describe Nick Tilsley and Karl Munro. She also likes to dish out the odd slap...

And rumour has it that she'll be transforming her daughter's cherished pub into a bed and breakfast.
