'Coronation Street' kiss, 'Hollyoaks' police shock, 'Doctors' Daniel

By
Coronation Street's Sophie Webster finally makes a move on her physiotherapist Jenna Kamara in the New Year.

Sophie (Brooke Vincent) has developed strong feelings for Jenna in recent weeks, and she decides that it's time to take a more forward approach when she hears that their appointments will soon be coming to an end.

When Sophie has her back brace removed, Jenna (Krissi Bohn) explains that she'll only need a couple more physio sessions. However, Sophie is upset by the news as she'll no longer have a reason to spend time with her crush.

The situation comes to a head when Jenna pops round to the Webster house and Sophie speaks openly about her feelings for the first time, confessing that she has fancied Jenna for a while.

Jenna soon lets her guard down by hinting that she feels the same way, and when Sophie moves in for a kiss, she can't resist responding.

However, when Sophie's dad Kevin walks in and interrupts the pair, Jenna realises that she may have made a terrible mistake as the furious mechanic threatens to report this to her boss. Will Jenna find herself in trouble at work for her unprofessional behaviour?

Over on Hollyoaks, Esther Bloom takes drastic action as her bullying ordeal continues.

When the sixth formers return to college following the Christmas holidays, Ruby Button takes over the status of 'Queen Bee' and causes even more trouble for Esther (Jazmine Franks) by spreading lies about her and encouraging everyone to ignore her.

Concerned teacher Jen Gilmore soon encourages Esther to show everyone that she can't be messed with, which prompts her to pay a visit to the police.

Afterwards, Bart McQueen (Jonny Clarke) is first on the police's list of house calls… Has the crash come back to haunt him?

Joel is shaken by the guilt of what he's done, but Brendan (Emmett Scanlan) is grimly satisfied…

Coming up on Doctors, life at The Mill starts getting back to normal following the recent upheaval as Daniel Granger officially returns from extended leave.

Daniel (Matthew Chambers) is pleased to be back at work, but he is also wary about the reception he might get from colleague and former friend Jimmi Clay after sleeping with his wife Cherry.

When Daniel finally arrives at the practice, he is met with quiet hostility by most of the staff.

Keen to avoid an atmosphere, Daniel later approaches Jimmi (Adrian Lewis Morgan) and asks if they can keep things civil for everyone's sake. Will Jimmi be able to agree?
