Bridging the gap

It's been a while since my last blog entry, so here I am, endeavouring to bridge the gap.
I've never known Coronation Street filming on location as much as they have done in the past few weeks. Don't get me wrong, the pics are always good and very useful for me when it comes to content, but what do you think of them?
Do they annoy you since they essentially give away either a turning point of a plot or the culmination of one? Or do you think they add to the buzz of the show? Let me know your views via the usual channels.

Dec 4: Poor ol' Chesney is forced to give up his canine companion Schmeichel within the next few weeks when he's taken into care thanks to Cilla leaving him in the lurch with Kirk. Just where can the Corrie writers take Chesney now?

Dec 7: Jack P Shepherd had a close call with a car during filming when the motor accidentally clipped him, sending him flying onto the ground.

Dec 7: Gail's horrified next month when she discovers that David's girlfriend Tina is pregnant. Reports in yesterday's newspapers claim that David loses it when he learns that his mum and girlfriend went behind his back for a termination. Raging, he shoves his mum down the stairs, resulting in her losing her memory.
The way the scripts have been written, though, it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't David's baby at all - chances are that it'll be Tina's ex's who she mentions every now and again...

Dec 8: Jenny Platt and Rupert Hill attended their leaving do on Friday which was held at Manchester's Velvet Bar. Bon Voyage to them both. Surely Corrie has to capitalise on the plethora of impending departures? What kind of new character would you like to see walking the Cobbles?

Dec 9: The Michelle/Alex saga continues way into March and the latest scenes see Michelle taking her estranged son to the dentist. I'm hoping the writers have a good ending to this storyline arc since while it possesses a strangely addictive quality, you know it's going to be a tedious long-runner. Claire/Ashley/Kacey springs to mind.

Dec 13: And finally (slightly out of sequence due to the filming schedule) David finds Tina drinking in the day, despite that fact she's 'pregnant'. Unbeknown to David, however, she's had an abortion...
